Financial Checklist

Please ensure that you have everything required to complete your tax return by referring to our handy check-list. This will both expedite your service without delay and assist to keep any fees as low as possible as additional appointments could result in additional fees.

Bookkeeping:

  • Receipts

  • Business number

  • Government documentation

  • Business banking information

  • Any other information

Tax Preparation:

  • Copy of previous year's tax return

  • Void cheque or direct deposit form

  • T4 or government issued slips

  • Any other information

Financial Planning:

  • Notice(s) of Assessment from most recent tax year

  • Insurance policies

  • Mortgage statements

  • Direct deposit form or void cheque

  • Loan statements

  • Driver’s license

  • Non-Registered Investment Statements.

  • RRSP, TFSA, RRIF, RESP Investment Statements

  • Any other information


Tips

  • Has your marital status changed? You can update your tax file with My Account, phone call or RC65 form by mail. 

  • If you have a dependant with an impairment in physical or mental functions, you may be eligible to claim an additional amount of $2000.00.

  • ​Prescribed blood Coagulation monitors for individual who require anti-coagulation therapy are now eligible as medical expenses.

  • Donations may be saved for 5 years to maximize your refund and combining donations with a spouse may increase credit.
